ABOUT OUR JOURNAL

Architecture, Construction, and Urbanism Journal (ACUJ) is a novel and specialized University-based journal outfit established by the Department of Architecture, Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria. Its core objectives are to: provide a platform for dissemination of need-driven research, showcase technological solutions to architecture, construction, and built environment practices, and serve as a linkage apparatus between the university, industry, and community toward fostering developmental partnerships.

 

ACUJ aims to promote the publication of empirical studies focusing on solving built environment and construction problems confronting developing countries. Transferable products, processes, policy guidelines, and frameworks suitable for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Sectors are its priorities. ACUJ welcomes reports of research on architecture and urban issues such as the links between planning, building, urban design, construction, the interaction between the natural and built environment, and other related issues.

The Journal will be published bi-annually i.e. June and November. There is provision for a rigorous but fast review cycle, and submissions will be blind refereed by at least two peers. In the context of the University-Industry relationship, members are from academia, research institutes, and industries within and outside Nigeria.
