The study examined the farmers attitude to Bank of Agriculture Loan Scheme, in Oyo State, Nigeria. Stratified and systematic random sampling techniques were adopted for the selection of a total sample of 300 respondents for the study. However, 260copies questionnaires were completed consisting of 130 beneficiaries and 130 non-beneficiaries. Finding shows that (55.4%) of beneficiaries and (61.5%) of non-beneficiaries had no formal education while (44.6%) and (38.5%) of beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries respectively had some form of formal training/education. Findings also indicate that more than one –half of the beneficiaries (56.9%) and (38.5%) of non-beneficiaries had a farm size of between 6 -10 hectares. Findings further revealed that majority of the beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries are males (86.2% and 90.8%) while a small proportion were females (13.8% and 9.2%) respectively. Majority of the beneficiaries (64.6%) depended on Bank of Agriculture Credit Staff as their source of agriculture credit information while the non-beneficiaries (52.3%) depended on cooperative or informal group. A high proportion of the beneficiaries (56.2%) and non-beneficiaries (53.8%) had favourable attitude towards small holder Loan Scheme of bank of Agriculture. However there was no significant difference between the attitude scores of beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries toward small holder loan scheme (t – test =0.08, p > 0.05). It is hereby recommended that (Bank officials) should liaise with the extension agents, in the education and enlightment of the small scale farmers on the significance of credit utilization so as to improve their socio – economic profile
