The study determined the effect of leadership competency on employee’s turnover in
Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority, Ogun State, Nigeria. Data were collected through
a well-structured questionnaire administered to 93 respondents through simple random sampling
techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. Results revealed
that the mean age of the employees in the study area was 32.7 years and majority (50.5%) were male.
Majority of the leaders demonstrated ethics and integrity (x= 3.43) and exhibited increased capacity

3.05) and highly exhausted after the day’s job (x= 2.96). This could be caused by inadequate
transportation (x= 3.54) and work stress in the organization (x= 2.16). The results also showed that

size (0.418), sex (-0.589) and educational level (1.426) were variables influencing employee’s turnover.
